FOR THE FW25 SEASON, FABSCARTE AND DEEPMOSS REUNITE FOR THEIR SECOND COLLABORATION, ONCE AGAIN BRIDGING THE WORLDS OF ARTISANAL SURFACE DESIGN AND CONTEMPORARY FASHION. WHAT EMERGES IS A COLLECTION THAT CELEBRATES MOVEMENT, MATERIAL SENSITIVITY, AND THE EMOTIONAL POWER OF CRAFTSMANSHIP, AN EXPLORATION OF HOW AN ARTISTIC PROCESS ROOTED IN PAPER CAN BE TRANSLATED INTO THE DYNAMISM OF FABRIC AND GARMENT CONSTRUCTION.

MOSTRO NOSTRO: THE ART OF MOTION
The visual cornerstone of the collaboration is Mostro Nostro, a pattern conceived and produced within Fabscarte’s Milanese atelier. The design arises from the patient observation of water in motion and the shifting reflections that dance on its surface. Through movement, these reflections distort into unexpected, almost otherworldly images, an aesthetic transformation that Fabscarte captures through its signature engraving and subtraction techniques. Crafted on paper rolls with a delicate gel-based composition, Mostro Nostro reveals hidden layers by gradually removing material, allowing shapes to emerge through contrast and transparency. The result is a motif that feels light, fluid, and fragmented—an effect that, once transferred to fabric, creates depth and a sense of continuous flow. In the FW25 garments, this liquefied texture becomes a living surface, animating the silhouette with subtle movement.

DEEPMOSS: FLUIDITY, RESILIENCE, AND SILENT STRENGTH
Deepmoss’s FW25 collection draws on nature’s quiet yet enduring power, a theme that resonates deeply with Fabscarte’s artistic philosophy. Under the direction of designer Dido Liu, the brand has always sought to translate the intangible, time, memory, atmosphere, into physical form through an approach that balances rational structure with poetic softness.
In this capsule, deepmoss reinterprets the Mostro Nostro pattern through its own sculptural vocabulary. The garments embody a contemporary femininity defined by duality: silent strength paired with delicacy, resilience expressed through fluidity. Fabrics are thin, elastic, and soft to the touch, yet shaped with a precision that lends each piece a controlled, almost architectural quality. The silhouettes reference the Far East, featuring rounded shoulders, gentle curves, and spiral cuts that wrap around the body’s natural lines. These spirals, emblematic of deepmoss’s interest in kinetic form, enhance the sensation of movement introduced by Fabscarte’s surface design. Together, they create pieces that feel both grounded and ethereal, sculpted yet free.

A DIALOGUE BETWEEN CRAFT AND INNOVATION
This collaboration further underscores Fabscarte’s ability to extend its artistic heritage beyond the realm of interiors. Renowned for transforming traditional decorative techniques into contemporary wallcoverings, the atelier demonstrates once again that its mastery of material, texture, and manual experimentation can adapt fluidly to new creative contexts, including fashion. By partnering with brands that share its devotion to originality and detail, Fabscarte continues to expand the expressive potential of surfaces. Deepmoss, with its focus on natural aesthetics and slow, thoughtful craftsmanship, proves to be an ideal counterpart. The FW25 capsule is not merely a translation of a pattern from paper to textile; it is a convergence of two design philosophies that elevate each other.

Through soft-sculptural techniques and meticulous craftsmanship, the brand blends rational design with emotional expression. Its garments harmonize with the wearer, creating a dialogue between fabric, body, and environment.
Deepmoss’s creative logic embraces the beauty of time and natural processes, turning intangible aesthetics into tactile forms. The brand frequently collaborates with ateliers and artists whose work reflects the same sensitivity to materiality, nature, and innovation.
