T H E    S H A D E

 

Suddenly, she woke up in the night.
Instantly she started seeking the light next to her bed, but the lamp didn’t work. She got up and push the bottom click again, then she realized that there was a blackout in her neighborhood.

She started to get anxious, so she opened the window looking for some fresh air. In that moment, she realized that was a full moon night, indeed there was a moon ray that enlighted her body and the wall beside her.

She turned out and all her anxious vanished. The geometric lines drew by the moon were too beautiful, she had forgotten how the play of lights could be fascinating.

She moved her bed on the wall where the moon reflected itself, so she got under her cover again and enjoyed for the first time how could a human being feel when his body is naturally lighted in that way. But, at the same time, she understood that while the light was fleeting, the shade was forever.
